Abstract:
Stein Kuhnle will present what is regarded to be the characteristics of the Nordic model of welfare, how and why it makes sense to talk about a Nordic model, and highlight what, in a comparative perspective, can be regarded as achievements of the model. He shall also draw attention to challenges to the Nordic (and European) welfare states, indicate some reform tendencies, and make an assessment of the model's robustness
